I recently recieved the new Skin Rescuer, Stress Minimizing Daily Hydrator. It boasts the ability to reduce visible signs of stress and flare-ups, including fatigue and redness. Now, even though this is a hydrator, it is not necessarily supposed to take the place of a moisturizer. It was recommended to be placed after your serum but before your daily moisturizer and sun protection. The product is supposed to be for those who experience a good deal of stressors to the skin, causing it to be dull, lifeless, red, blotchy and dehydrated . Needless to say, I was excited to try it out, because with allergies, the recent season change, and an active social life, my skin was definitely in need of some extra lovin'.
Here's comes the run-down:
-It came in a 2.5 fl. oz. bottle with pump dispenser, which is wonderful and sanitary, so points for that.
-The product itself is a light lotion, and does absorb very quickly. I did not feel like a had a whole other layer of gunk on my face when I applied my day moisturizer.
-After just a couple of days use, I did notice that my skin was more vibrant and healthy looking, and some of the fine lines I had from dehydration were diminshed as well.
-I did not really see any difference in redness, however. Which was a big selling point for me.
Overall, I really like this product, and I think it does what it says, except for when it came to my redness. It didn't work for me in that regard, but that's not to say it won't for someone else. However, I do think this helped my skin's barrier look and feel more intact, and for that....
