Review: Too Faced Air Buffed BB Creme Complete Coverage Makeup

That product that you eye-ball every time you pass it by, yeah, this is it. I finally had to just give in, and try it out. Despite not being a raving fan of BB creams to begin with, I do love a good cream foundation, and one that has some benefits, too? Ok, I'll bite. According to Too Faced, it is the first full coverage BB cream for an airbrushed second skin finish, where skincare meets makeup. It's supposed to perfect, mattify, prime, moisturize, and protect with SPF 20.

On to how I feel about this:

-The brush it comes with is silly. It is tiny, and hard to work with. Fail on that one Too Faced, you should have just opted out on the brush and given us more product.

*I recommend using a larger, densely packed face brush like the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush for fuller coverage or a duo-fiber brush like the Real Techniques Stippling Brush for more sheer to moderate coverage.

-The formula itself is interesting, it's a little hard to build onto the brush, but doing small tap and drag motions seems to be the most efficient. But it glides wonderfully onto skin, and feels relatively light. I fell in love with the finish of this. It's not a full matte, but a really gorgeous satin finish. As far as being mattifying, I didn't see any excess oil until well into 8 hours of wear.

-It was quick to achieve the desired level of coverage, and saved me some time in my regimen, which is always helpful.

-I did see it start to dissipate after a couple hours of wear, but it faded gracefully.

-It also did not settle into any fine lines! Which is my #1 foundation pet peeve.

Overall, I'm quite happy with this purchase so far! I really like the feel, and coverage I get with this, and a little bit goes along way. I could see this as a great everyday foundation for those with dry to combination skin. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for oily skin even though it's "mattifying". Due to the moisturizing aspect of it, I think oilier skin types might find this a little heavy feeling. If it wasn't for the brush fail, this would receive full marks. And for that....

Touche, Too Faced, touche.
